Gummy Vodka

Branding // Packaging

Gummy is a line of vodka themed and flavored after gummy bears. The packaging takes inspiration from high-end liquor bottles but adds a playful touch to appeal to those who enjoy something different. The idea was to make a premium vodka that doesn’t take itself too seriously, and pays tribute to the idea of soaking gummy bears in liquor, commonly done at parties. The goal was to find a perfect balance between playful and premium.

Three delicious colors.

Each color correlates with the flavor that it represents. Green is apple, red is cherry, and yellow is lemon. These colors are also the most commonly used colors used throughout different brands of gummy bears.

The design keeps things simple, with minimalist look that’s common in the premium vodka market. The bottle has a matte finish, which is a subtle link to the texture of gummy bears, which are also matte. The illustration on the bottle, a bunch of gummy bears drawn in a simple line style, suggests they are jumping into the vodka. This line art keeps the bottle’s look minimalist while also giving it an interesting visual texture.

Playful design, premium feel.

Playful from
the top.

The cap of the bottle is the shape of a gummy bear to add to the playful aspect of the design. The model of the gummy bear itself was sculpted by myself using Zbrush.

Premium packaging.

The boxes that house the bottles have a single color scheme and a matte finish. The logo stands out in gloss, and there’s a gummy bear shape that pops out from the box’s face. When you open up the package, you’re treated to a gummy bear pattern to add to the premium quality, as well as an appropriately colored foam insert that holds the bottle safely inside.
